Trails and activities for children, until 11 September!

A holiday in the mountains is the perfect opportunity to instil in your children a love of nature and animals. You could show your children how to milk a cow, and discover the real taste of milk. You could go for a walk together, hand in hand, and teach them the value of perseverance and what it can achieve…

You will be able to spend quality time with your children, far from the stress of daily life, and you will also have free time to dedicate to your own interests: the hotel also organizes activities for adults who are up for a challenge. We have mentioned only a few of those that are available. You will find more information at the hotel!

For children and families, the Madonnina Hotel organises: guided hikes, nature trails, adventures in the “malga” (mountain hut), and an introduction to rock-climbing. A full programme for children of all ages that can be enjoyed with mum and dad, with the mountain guides or with local experts. The Kids’ Club and the outings organized in collaboration with the Val Di Fassa Tourism Office are available until 11 September.

Mountain biking...

Who doesn’t enjoy outdoor sport? The cycle path that runs alongside the Avisio river is perfect for families, even those with small children. You will be able to rent bicycles at a discounted price and choose between a longer and shorter route. The path passes through Val di Fassa all the way to Canazei and, in the opposite direction to Val di Fiemme. Along the way you will find numerous fields where you can rest for a while and enjoy a picnic with your family. Meals not included.

A walk in the mountains for everybody, big and small.

Guided walks are ideal for those who want to learn more about the towns in Val di Fassa. We also have walks that are suitable for children, with mountain guides who know how to introduce children to hiking and will be able to answer all of their questions. You will be able to enjoy a beautiful walk in the surrounding countryside, discovering the plants, flowers and animals of the region together with your children: quality family time! 

Kids… this is so much fun!

Where does milk come from? From cows! And what better way to learn about it than by visiting a farmyard and seeing the cows being milked for yourself! If you are brave, you can try it yourself and taste the milk fresh from the cow. The visit to the “malga” (mountain hut) is fun and educational. You will be able to see animals from close up, learn many interesting things and have fun with your children!

Adventure is waiting for you at the Piciocaa park!

Children, here you are guaranteed to have fun, in complete safety! The park consists of 5 courses of varying difficulty levels, with raised platforms and suspension bridges, tree-top and zip-line trails. Perfect for adults and children alike, Piciocaa park is the ideal place for children to unleash their energy, and where adults can enjoy a burst of adrenaline. For smaller children, there is a park with a natural pond, a watering point for many small animals that inhabit the forest. Barbeque and picnic facilities are also available. Entrance to the park and meals are not included.

Do you love animals?

Enjoy an outing with your children to the “malga” (mountain hut) where you can get up close to the farm animals: horses, donkeys, cows and goats. Alternatively you can sign up for an outing on horseback – there are many stables in Val di Fassa that organize outings for families with children. If you prefer contact with wild animals we suggest a guided tour of Paneveggio Natural Park where you will see deer; or a walk accompanied by one of our staff members in the fields of Passo San Pellegrino, home of the marmots!
